Kalopanagiotis, Troodos Mountains, Cyprus

The village of Kalopanagiotis is located in the Marathasa Valley on the northern slope of the Troodos Mountains. A traditional village with cobbled alleys and shady vines. In the valley is the Setrachos stream with flowing water all year round. Setrachos makes life green in the vegetation and it is the watercourse that this hiking tour follows on both sides. Around the paths are old orchards that have now been abandoned and are growing wild. The tour also passes a monastery that is included as one of Troodos’s ten World Heritage churches, as well as watermills and a medieval bridge.

Difficulty: Easy on paths and village roads.
