Karpasia Peninsula, North Cyprus

The Karpasia Peninsula is a piece of lonely land, and the cape is Northern Cyprus' only national park. It is also home of the wild so-called Cyprus donkey. The peninsula is also characterized by the pristine large sandy beaches. The hike starts at the monastery of Apostolos Andreas to follow dirty roads and the donkeys' trodden paths through the forest of juniper trees out to the outermost cape of Cape Apostolos Andreas, also called the "End of Cyprus". There is a good chance of seeing the donkeys in the wild.

Length: 11 km. (Circular).

Level difference: 90 m. (0/90 m).

Difficulty: Easy on utility roads and donkey trails.

Experience: Nature walks by the sea.
