Sarakina Gorge, eastern Crete

The Sarakina Gorge with lot of adventure feeling past vertical narrow and high mountain walls on each side. In places at shorter passages, we get through on foot and with the help of hands at well-anchored ropes and easier climbing. It is a short gorge if you compare with other gorges in Crete. After just under a kilometer, you are out of the northern gate of the gorge and enter a mixed forest.

Length: 3.5 km. (Circular). 

Level difference: 150 m. (100/250 m).

Difficulty: Medium/difficult on boulders and rocky path. Asphalt and gravel road.

Experience: Gorge hike, adventure and views.
